LinkedIn Event Inviter & LinkedIn Page Inviter
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Who is responsible
soft.fact GmbH (brand: forty², formerly SimpleLi), Schönwaldstr. 8, 97532 Üchtelhausen, Germany. Contact: info@softfact.works.
What stays on your device
- Names you enter are kept in your browser's local extension storage and are only used to send the invitations you start.
- LinkedIn: the extensions only act on LinkedIn event pages (Event Inviter) or company-page admin views (Page Inviter) when you click “invite”. We never receive your LinkedIn data, your connections or your page content.
Anonymous usage statistics
From version 1.0.6 (Event Inviter) and 1.0.4 (Page Inviter), the versions distributed via the Chrome Web Store send small anonymous signals to our server at forty2.works so we can see whether they are still installed and used. Each signal contains only:
- which extension and which version,
- the event: installed/updated, active (at most once a day), popup opened, invitation run finished (with the number of invitations, never names),
- a random installation ID generated in your browser. It is not linked to your name, your Google account or your LinkedIn profile.
The open-source builds on GitHub contain no usage statistics. We do not store IP addresses or browser details with these statistics. When you remove an extension, Chrome opens our goodbye page with the same anonymous ID so we can count uninstalls; the optional feedback buttons there send one anonymous reason. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the extensions (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Statistics are kept for at most 24 months. You can stop all signals at any time by removing the extension.
“Keep it running for me” requests
The extensions have been discontinued. If you use the request form on forty2.works/simpleli, we store the name, e-mail address, company and message you enter, and which extension you use, to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We delete requests 12 months after our last contact unless you become a customer.
Licences bought earlier
Licences were sold via Stripe until October 2026. For those purchases Stripe processed payment and contact details under its own privacy policy; we kept name and e-mail address to deliver the licence key and invoice, as required by tax law. We no longer sell licences.
Hosting
This website and the statistics endpoint run on our own server in Germany (Hetzner). The web server processes your IP address briefly to deliver pages; it is not stored in our statistics.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because the statistics are anonymous we usually cannot link them to you; if you send us your installation ID we will delete its records. Contact: info@softfact.works.
